Pocket Munch – Print and Play

Hi all!

I made today’s challenge into a little print and play for you to have a look at – a little (very) silly game for a slow Saturday!

Pocket munch, can you match 4 the first?

Enjoy!

You can find the Challenge here

You can download the Print and Play here: Pocket Munch Print and Play 1.1

Just a quick one here! Simply match 4 cards the same colour first by taking from the deck or taking a random one from another player. Game ends when all players have 4 cards.

Challenge: Day 27/30

Day 26 of the 30 days, 30 ideas challenge where I create 30 ideas for games over the next 30 days. See other days here.

Salad wars

Now a silly prototype!

Game type: card game, 1-4 players, kids

Length: 5 mins / round

Idea:

A mini game where players have to match 4 cards together to get the winning set.

Four types of cards – salad, meat, cooked meals, animals (herbivore, carnivore, human/omnivore).

Players get points by matching all the same, all different, with a bonus if they also have the correct animals.

Winning combos in order:

3 of the same with the correct animal

3 of the same without the correct animal

2 the same with the correct animal… Etc

Order of play is:

Deck is placed on table.

Players pick up one card each turn either from the deck or from another player (randomly).

Players must discard a card if they have more than 4.

If the deck runs out the discard is shuffled and makes a new deck.

Game ends when one player has a full set.

Alternative rules: game ends when all players have 4 cards.

Card ideas:

Salad – lettuce, leaves, potatoes

Meat – cow, sheep, pig

Cooked – hamburgers, cheese, cake

I was thinking of having cooked as unhealthy previously… Could also be omnivore to fit in with the theme, winner then would be omnivore + 3 different types of food (fruitivore??)

Game update: SS Sandbrook V0.8 Redesign

Just a quick update to show what we have been working on.

We have been busy redesigning SS Sandbrook to make it easier to read based on some feedback and changing the art to creative commons 0 artwork.

We have also had art specially made for the card backs as seen in the top image, which are a big improvement from the old backs.
